Based on a short story I had read this fox creature is found stranded in an unforgiving desert on a remote planet. A collision occurred during a reconnaissance flight in which her now severely damaged spaceship plunged into the dunes. Tormented by the extreme temperatures of day and night, with only her own fur for protection, she begins her trek towards the signal beacon to call for assistance.
