Quetzacoatl, an Aztec deity, is described as a grand feathered serpent. Due to my interest in the idea of chimeras, and their mixing of fantasy and reality, I interpreted this description somewhat literally. With this drawing I also wanted to experiment with light, shadow and perspective.
