This is one of my more open-ended paintings as the interpretation is left to the viewer. Personally, I imagined that this little cat wished upon a shooting star to become and gain the strength of a grand lioness.
The process of creating this artwork was a most turbulent one. Often did I come close to the temptation of abandoning it completely and destroying the image, since it veered so far from my original vision. I felt it was just getting progressively worse. Its continued existence is solely due to some of my friends whose criticisms stayed my hand and made me see the project through to the end.
