Pictured here is the savage grimace of a Perch-mask. As I had never drawn with ink prior to this work, I was looking to sketch a familiar and fantastical subject, which would also be simple to sketch. In this way, I was able to approach this new medium with more confidence. It was also easier to hide my initial missteps within the wild shapes.
