As the initial first image of this series, I elected to take a creature design I made during my elementary school days, to reinterpret it and represent it better than the original drawing. This chimera is meant to be a kind of underwater dragon. It is a cross between a shark, an eel and a devil fisherman, as such a “Devil Sheel”. The red skin represents electricity and bioluminescence. While the drawing of my childhood featured this creature glowing all over its body, in this new conception the bioluminescence is limited to the lower jaw and the fishing rod. I also reimagined the body to be more naturalistic and elongated, both things I struggled with depicting accurately as a child.
